Bay Area

I made it back safely from an awesome long weekend in the Bay Area! It was a real chill time for me, and I got to kick back with some of my best friends. The Fatlace Word Up event was insanely good. I was able to get out on the course with my STI a few times. The car felt extremely planted! I did a bit of filming with my cheap Flip cam, and the results are below. I'm still working on a big compilation video from the weekend. So check back in soon!

car stuff

I finally had my DXD clutch installed this week. My starter also went out at the same time, but it's all good because I have some driving to do up north and that would suck if it went out then. The clutch feels amazing! I haven't been able to completely get crazy with it because it takes 750 miles to break in, but I can already feel such a big difference. The clutch engages really quickly, and the acceleration feels better now. I'm looking forward to getting it on the track next saturday!

WFC Socal

I'm excited to meet back up with the crew again before the end of 2010. We consider ourselves a pretty close nit group of friends. This meet will be set up solely for WFC. I'm sure others will come out to hang which is all good, but we really like keeping things on the upmost chill level. For those coming out I'll see you then!

My new clutch came in today, and I'm excited to get this installed! It will handle all the power I could make on a stock motor. I'm ready to make some more power, and my stocker is no longer holding launches. The car feels a bit slower now too due to decreased clutch grab. You'll be seeing my car in action very soon!

I've known this guy for a few years now, and it seems like I haven't seen his Bugeye in forever since he's been rebuilding it from the ground up. I was extremely happy to see some photos pop up yesterday. I was able to get a full feature up on Hellaflush before the photos were whored out by the masses.

I'm currently working on my friend's new Celica/Supra. It is extremely clean and all original. It may be the best stock example I've seen stateside. I'm helping him sort out the suspension so he can get is sitting lower and performing well. These cars came extremely soft from the factory. The next step after that will of course be wheels, and then we'll start working on more power. I hoping to get the car looking as clean as the one below.


Turns out the guy who owns the Celica above is a real douchenozzle. I posted a newer pic of it on Hellaflush. A few comments were made that the guy is a real jerk, and he will probably flip out when he sees this pic posted because he hates his car being posted online.

s14 project

Here's a friends S14 from Louisiana. He's been getting things together nicely lately. I sent him my old Sparco steering wheel a while back to help with the project some. I'm pretty excited to see the next step!

subiefest 2010 aka WFC-fest

I completely forgot I didn't update my blogspot about Subiefest 2010. Well first off it was a pure blast! The WFC homies rolled hard into the main parking area early morning. We had three easy-ups, three grills, and more food and drinks you could imagen. We got stuffed! The Crew had their own makeshift Raffle that included some funny T-shirts and random JDM stuff. It was tons of fun, and It's spawned what should be another WFC coming up before 2010 runs out!

I'll hopefully have some good updates coming up. Subiefest is in a week. I had a chance finally to wash my car today even though I'll need to again before next weekend. Hopefully some more changes coming to the STI in a short while.

I'm putting some of the grip back in the Grippymonkey. I picked up some new (used) Dunlops yesterday and had them mounted today. I had to get rid of those garbage Nexens that came on the new wheels I got ASAP. I haven't got to rip it yet because my toe needs to be adjusted, but already I can feel a huge difference.

The event was a good time in Vallejo. I spent most of my time watching the drifting. I can't get enough of it really. I took only a couple of snaps of the show cars on my phone because I didn't really want to be a photographer this time. I like just enjoying it completely.
